How the Hiring Process Works?

Some HR experts’ mention that the hiring process also includes removal of the mismatching resumes. This method works faster to short list the probable match candidacies from a volume of applications. To systemize the hiring process, the staff can make a checklist of hiring employees. This checklist helps them to keep the track of their hiring work. Some of the staff can screen every application received, while others may start with certain keywords. Some other can look through the cover letters inserting the keywords for necessary qualifications. This processing does take time.

You can wait for the response of the company, you applied to and if you do not receive it within a week; you may contact the company officials for the confirmation. You can simply inquire how much you need to wait to understand if you are selected for an interview.

If you have applied through any existing employee of that company, then your application may get priority for screening. Hence, you may get an interview call faster than otherwise.

The subsequent action in hiring process could be of matching the skills and work narration of the applicants to the specific needs of the job role. Through this step, HR staff gets a list of candidates to invite for an interview. If the short listed ones are out of the first round of telephonic interview, some other candidates take entry from the screening of newly received applications. The interview over the phone in the hiring process has a purpose of communicating with candidate, the job responsibilities and salary expectations. By any chance, the applicant does not find interest in going ahead with the opening; the staff eliminates his candidature and tries with another suitable one.

The phone interviews help the officers to understand further details of the candidate, his backdrop to evaluate if his candidature is fitting to their expectations. In the second round of the interview, candidates are asked their personal goals of career. The hiring process staff involves them in role-playing activities to find out their approach to that typical problem and how they try to solve it. The hiring boss then concludes about one candidate selection, considering the inputs given by his team officials.

Once the candidature is finalized, the appointment letter is offered to him or her. The candidate becomes an employee of that particular company now by signing the duplicate copy of the appointment letter. And he or she joins new company on a declared date.
